They said there is nothing greater than a mother’s love. They are ready to make huge sacrifices for the sake of their children, without any hesitation.
A Mother's Love
Priscilla Presley, wife of the late Elvis Presley had a chance to prove that, recently. She reportedly sold her Brentwood mansion for $3.8 million to aid her bankrupt daughter, Lisa Marie Presley.
Lawsuits and Substance Abuse
Lisa Marie is in the midst of a divorce from Michael Lockwood, the father of her twins, Finley and Harper. The King of Rock and Roll’s sole daughter inherited $100 million fortune, but after her business manager, Barry Seigel allegedly mishandled her resources, she was flat broke and swimming in debts.
The 51-year-old singer-songwriter is also known to have struggled with substance abuse for many years. Addiction is not a new word for her. Her father himself had a rough journey with drug enslavement. Lisa Marie has been in and out rehab centers for years, but on her recent interview, she said she is now looking forward into the betterment of herself; physically, mentally, and psychologically.
House Features
As per the property that saved her from bankruptcy, Priscilla bought it for $170, 000 back in 1976, after she and Elvis got divorced. She never resided in the 1950s Brentwood mansion. Instead, it served as a home for her mother, Ann Lillian Wegner-Beaulieu.
The residence, built in 1948, is 2,499 square-feet wide and has four bedrooms, three bathrooms and a pool area in the back yard. She acquired the house as it is, and without any renovations from the previous owner. After 40 years of possession, she sold it with an asking price of $3.65 million.
Luckily, the buyer generously agreed onto paying $200, 000 more than the original asking price.
Life Goes On...
Both Priscilla and Lisa Marie are quite busy with their respective careers. Priscilla will soon star in the upcoming Hallmark Channel’s film, Wedding at Graceland, while Lisa Marie continues to promote the album consisting of her dad’s favorite gospel hymns, that she recently reproduced.
As per Ann Lillian, who is now in need of major medical care, she will be moving in with her daughter Priscilla in Beverly Hills. Since the death of her husband, Paul, last year, her health began to decline due to age and sadness.
Priscilla, who’s going to be a little busy with her career, has already hired caregivers that will attend to her mother’s needs around-the-clock. Kudos to this superwoman who’s both an amazing mother and daughter!
