The teen idol Lindsay Lohan lost some of her roles in the past due to the dramas in her life, such as mental health issues and addiction. But this time, it looks like the tables have turned as the actress allegedly lost her show because her life is getting less dramatic...
Lohan's Road to Stardom
The thirty-three-year-old actress started her Hollywood journey as a member of the Ford Models when she was just three years old. She did several commercials for different brands like Pizza Hut and Wendy’s and posed for Calvin Klein and Abercrombie. At the age of ten, she starred in the television soap opera Another World, Soap Opera Magazine as Alexandra Fowler, also known as Alli.
Awards and Recognition
In 2003, Lohan did remarkable acting in playing the role of a Goth lady who switches bodies as a mother and a daughter alternatively. Her performance in Disney’s Freaky Friday gained her positive feedback from fans and critics, as well as recognition like Breakthrough Performance award at the 2004 MTV Movie Awards. Freaky Friday grossed $160 million across the globe and earned an eighty-eight percent approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
She continued to dominate the silver screen by taking more leading roles in several box office movie productions, making her the new teen drama queen. Lohan took home four titles such as a Breakout Movie Star at the 2004 Teen Choice Awards for her projects Freaky Friday and Mean Girls. Mean Girls also won two awards at the MTV Movie Awards in 2005.
The drama in her life began to become a public interest after she appeared on the Mean Girls. Paparazzi's eyes were on her twenty-four seven, and her life became the daily topic in newspaper headlines and gossip websites.
Despite all the controversies, Lohan continued to do well with her career and expanded her scope as she started accepting hosting projects. She became the youngest emcee of the MTV Movie Awards at the age of seventeen, and she also hosted the World Music Awards in 2006.
Closing Some Doors
Now that she is more focused on getting better and dealing with her personal issues in life, she suddenly lost her Lindsay Lohan’s Beach Club MTV show because the producers allegedly wanted the show to showcase more of the actress’ ups and downs.
There are also rumors that the actress’ Mykonos night club is closing its doors for business although there is no official announcement about it yet. Some were saying that the entire business is closing, while some say they're only taking the season off. But the most intriguing part is that the Lohan signage was taken down and the place looks completely abandoned.
