Hollywood Golden Age Stars Who Are Still With US
Priscilla Presley – Age 74
Priscilla Ann Presley has retained a lot of her features, in spite of the fact that she had the misfortune of getting some botched cosmetic surgery done by an unlicensed surgeon. Lucky for Presley, it is not often noticeable and she has the great bone structure to hide it! At the time that she was married to the King of Rock ‘n Roll, Presley was expected to be a housewife and nothing more, as per the expectations of a woman at the time. So out went her passion for dancing and modeling. In 1983, she took up acting though and later on, she opened a boutique.
Marlo Thomas – Age 82

As shared with New York Times, ‘60s star Marlo Thomas was actually called Margo by her parents as a kid. However, the nickname was often mispronounced as Marlo. It stuck with the actress until she became a hit for starring as Ann Marie on the TV show, That Girl, in 1966. Marlo also involved herself in the award-winning kid’s franchise called Free to Be… You and Me. The Nobody’s Child actress’ heart also led her to become the National Outreach Director for the establishment initiated by her dad, Danny Thomas, in 1962 called the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. What a sweetheart!
Dick Van Dyke – Age 93

Dick van Dyke is indeed multi-talented and has made numerous appearances but he will always be remembered as Dick van Dyke of Mary Poppins! Of course, we won’t forget how terribly he failed at the British accent either, but let’s move on. At 87, he was in serious need of a car accident lawyer when his Jaguar was engulfed in flames with him behind the wheel! He escaped in one piece, thankfully! In 2013, Dyke nearly lost his life to a traffic accident and he was rescued from the wreck right before the vehicle burst into flames.
Mel Brooks – Age 93

Mel Brooks is an EGOT! No, it’s not an insult – on the contrary, it’s an accolade – it signifies that he’s an Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony award winner! He kicked off his career as a comedian before going on into acting. A famous piece of his work was in The Producers, a Broadway musical. His son didn’t get a law degree or a college diploma; he actually followed in his dad’s footsteps and went into acting, too! It runs in the blood! Brooks and Anne Bancroft, his late wife, had a son together Max who is also involved in the entertainment industry.
